I've just started blogging and have been playing around with Technorati, too. Seems to me like the most interesting blogging site right now, looking at the point of view of searching blogs or tracking blog trends. I, too, have found the site a bit difficult to navigate. If anything, the help text could be a little more descriptive. Took me a few tries to claim my blog. Pings seem to take hours, not minutes. But, c'mon, we're talking about tens of thousands (or more) of blog posts to deal with. And this is a free service. What are other sites that have good blogging tools?

[...] I created a post on Dec. 22nd called Technorati Addiction. In the post I mentioned two different products, Technorati and the Perfomancing for Firefox blogging extension. I got two comments on that post. One was from David Sifry and one was from a guy names Manish. Here is where all the similarities end. Let’s take a look at these one at a time.
Performancing is a nice little add-in. For a much more advanced blog editor, check out RocketPost:

I designed it.

Edit: Manish, I removed the link. A little too salesy for me. Thanks for the comment.
